
Who will be your teacher?
At Gezegen Sanatevi, all piano lessons are taught by our founder, Elçin Kurbanoğlu, who has been working as a tutor for the expat community in Ankara for 4 years.
At what age can one start learning the piano?
If the student’s readiness level is appropriate, piano education can start from the age of 3-4 onwards. There is no upper age limit for adults. People of all ages can start learning the piano. Contrary to popular belief, it is not an innate talent but rather a desire and consistent practice that make it possible to learn the piano.
How many people are in a class?
Piano lessons are conducted either as one-on-one lessons or in groups of two people (only for same age groups of age 12 and above).
What are the days and times for piano lessons?
The days and times for piano lessons are determined through mutual agreement between the teacher and students. Depending on the students’ preferences, one or two lessons per week are usually sufficient.
How long are the piano lessons?
The lessons can be either 30 or 50 minutes depending on the student’s preference. Fees vary accordingly.
What books/methods/materials are used?
The selection of books and other materials is based on the student’s level and interests, in the framework of appropriate international and scientific sources. In duo lessons, one piano is an upright piano, while the other is digital.


Is it necessary to have a piano at home to receive piano lessons?
In the initial stages, it is not necessary for the student to have a piano for the first few months. In the following months, the decision is made through an assessment by the parent, teacher, and student.
Can we practice on an organ instead of a piano?
While the organ is sometimes seen as a temporary solution in piano learning, it is not actually a healthy approach. Contrary to popular belief, the piano and organ are instruments with very different qualities. It is recommended to provide a piano for the student to practice at home at the appropriate time.
