Art lessons are organized for both adults, children and teenagers.
Who teaches the classes?
Şimal Ece Genç is the instructor of hobby-oriented art lessons for adults. In children and teenager groups, different educators work with the students based on the teacher’s area of specialization.

For Adults: Hobby-Oriented Lessons
The aim of these classes is to teach individuals with an interest in painting using a scientific method.
How many days and hours are the classes held per week?
The classes are held for two hours per week.
Which painting techniques are taught?
The techniques taught include charcoal, watercolor, acrylic painting, oil painting, pastel, ink, and others, based on the mutual decision of the teacher and students.
What are the learning outcomes of painting courses?
The content of the adult painting groups consists of: charcoal; line, dot, and geometric pattern studies; still life and figure drawing; acrylic painting; light and shadow, shading; perspective studies; pastel painting; watercolor; oil painting (optional); upcycling using waste materials.
Do we provide the materials ourselves?
The materials to be used are determined according to the curriculum to be followed, which is constructed based on the interaction between the student and the teacher. Some materials are provided by Gezegen Sanatevi, while others are covered by the students themselves in consultation with the teacher throughout the course.
For Kids: Hobby-Oriented Lessons
What are the age groups?
Children’s painting classes are divided into nursery group, 7-10 age group, and 11-13 age group, but these classifications can vary based on the student’s readiness level.
How is the timetable?
The timetable (both day and time) is determined jointly by the parents and the teacher. Generally, Saturdays and Sundays are preferred.
For nursery and 7-10 age groups, classes are held once a week for one hour, while for older age groups, classes are two hours per week. Upon request, students are welcome to continue to use the classroom for free during the available hours of the art studio.
Which techniques are taught?
Children’s painting classes include activities such as charcoal, watercolor, pastel painting, and collage. Nursery groups are not taught charcoal.


What are the benefits of art classes for our children?
The aim of Gezegen Sanatevi’s art classes is not only to enhance our children’s imagination and social skills but also to introduce them to the technical and scientific aspects of the art of painting. This way, while they become familiar with painting as a fun activity, they also have the opportunity to take their relationship with the art of painting to a higher level, making them more knowledgeable and skilled in expressing themselves through art.
Do we need to provide the materials ourselves?
The materials used in the classes are provided by the students themselves, with the purpose of allowing them to continue their activities at home. The teacher will guide the parent or student towards healthy and high-quality products. During the class, students can use all the materials in the studio collectively.
